Pediatric and Adult Therapy

Speech Sound Disorder Therapy

We address articulation, phonological, and motor speech disorders to improve speech sound production and intelligibility for children and adults. Our therapists use specific techniques to target sound errors, helping our patients develop clear and accurate speech patterns.

Language Development

We focus on enhancing language skills, including vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, and comprehension. Through interactive and patient-centered activities, we promote language growth, encourage expressive and receptive language abilities, and foster effective communication in various contexts across the lifespan.

Gender Affirming Voice Therapy

Gender-affirming voice therapy is a personalized approach provided by speech-language pathologists to help transgender and gender-diverse individuals modify their voice and communication to align with their gender identity, focusing on elements like pitch, resonance, and prosody. Through exercises and guidance, individuals can develop communication patterns that feel authentic and comfortable, reducing distress and improving self-confidence and overall quality of life.

Stuttering/Fluency

Our therapists take an acceptance-based approach to stuttering, utilizing evidence-based techniques to help patients of all ages self-advocate and build confidence with their stutter. We also empower caregivers and loved ones to learn how to respond to and support the stutterer in moments of disfluency. Once a stutterer develops self-awareness, if it’s important to and indicated by them, we develop a toolbox of strategies to adjust their fluency and/or experience of stuttering.

Voice Disorders

Our speech-language pathologists evaluate and treat voice disorders in children and adults experiencing changes in vocal quality, pitch, loudness, resonance, endurance, or comfort when speaking. Treatment may address concerns such as hoarseness, vocal fatigue, vocal strain, vocal nodules, vocal cord dysfunction, and other conditions affecting healthy voice production. We develop individualized treatment plans focused on improving vocal function, reducing strain, and helping patients use their voice comfortably and effectively at home, school, work, and in the community.

Long COVID / Post-COVID Cognitive-Communication

Some individuals experience persistent cognitive and communication changes following COVID-19, including difficulty with attention, memory, word retrieval, processing speed, organization, and mental fatigue. Our speech-language pathologists provide individualized evaluation and treatment to address these challenges and develop practical strategies for managing the cognitive demands of work, school, home, and daily life. Treatment focuses on improving functional communication, supporting independence, and helping patients successfully return to meaningful activities.

Dyslexia & Literacy Intervention

Our therapists provide evidence-based intervention for individuals with dyslexia and other literacy challenges, focusing on the foundational skills needed for reading, spelling, writing, and comprehension. Through individualized, structured, and multisensory instruction, we help patients strengthen phonological awareness, decoding, fluency, vocabulary, and reading comprehension. Our goal is to build confidence, improve academic success, and empower children and adults with the skills they need to become successful, lifelong readers and writers.

Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) & Concussion

We provide individualized speech-language and cognitive-communication therapy for individuals recovering from traumatic brain injury (TBI) and concussion. Symptoms can affect attention, memory, processing speed, executive functioning, word retrieval, organization, and the ability to manage the cognitive demands of everyday life. Our therapists develop functional treatment plans based on each patient’s specific needs and goals, helping them build strategies for returning to school, work, daily activities, and meaningful participation in their lives.

Dysphagia / Swallowing Disorders

We provide evaluation and treatment for children and adults experiencing difficulty swallowing foods, liquids, or medications. Our speech-language pathologists assess swallowing function and develop individualized treatment plans to improve safety, efficiency, and comfort during eating and drinking. Treatment may address concerns such as coughing or choking, difficulty managing certain textures, prolonged mealtimes, and swallowing changes related to neurological conditions, illness, injury, or aging. When appropriate, we collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to support comprehensive dysphagia care.

Cognitive-Communication Disorders

Our speech-language pathologists evaluate and treat cognitive-communication difficulties that affect a person’s ability to function successfully at home, school, work, and in the community. Therapy may address attention, memory, executive functioning, organization, problem-solving, processing, and other skills that support effective communication and everyday activities. Treatment is individualized and functional, with strategies designed to help patients increase independence, compensate for areas of difficulty, and successfully participate in the activities that are most important to them.
